Temple City
The "Home of Camellias," Temple City is a residential community of approximately 32,000 residents. The city is located some 15 miles northeast of Los Angeles. Temple City is primarily a residential community, with some light industry. Industries that provide employment in Temple City include educational, health and social services, manufacturing, professional, scientific, management, administrative and waste management services and retail trade. It is a diverse community serving the needs of many different cultures while maintaining a strong sense of community.

Many colleges and universities including the esteemed University of Southern California, which is less than a 30-minute drive away are in the area and in proximity for those who wish to attain a degree in higher education.
The annual Camellia Festival draws thousands to the downtown area for a parade complete with marching bands, floats and the crowning of a King and Queen. The Camellia is one of about 80 species of real East Asian evergreen shrubs and trees belonging to the tea. This particular variation is notable for three ornamental flowering species.
