West Covina

westcovinaWest Covina was incorporated as an independent city in 1923 to prevent the city of Covina from building a sewage farm in the area. West Covina started as mostly Orange and Walnut Groves and then was turned into a suburbia in the 50's. West Covina has very well-kept-up neighborhoods that attract many families. A large part of the city is middle class, with upper middle class and upper class neighborhoods in the South Hills area. West Covina boasts one of the San Gabriel Valley's top concentrations of households with annual income in excess of $78,000. The South Hills area of West Covina is home to the some of the most expensive homes in the San Gabriel Valley; many multi-million dollar homes are in the South Hills area.
